The article mentioned Compeer stating, 'Today, broker analyst Compeer reckons that between 5,500 and 7,000 small investors trade more than ten times a month. At the start of 2004, they accounted for about ten per cent of total trades, but by the end of last year, that figure was more than 20 per cent.' The aticle was on the 'day-trading' phenomenon, which emerged in the technology investment craze of the late nineties.
