The report is on the competition between brokers to attract new clients, during a period where investors may be wondering if there are any opportunities for growth left in the stock market as world markets have been tumbling. ComPeer commented that as competition has driven down commissions, brokers have looked to replace lost income with other fees. Execution-only brokers now earn one third of their revenue from administration fees.
